Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Red Ribbon Week Door Decorating Contest! We saw some incredible creativity and inspiring messages that remind us all to live drug-free. Students with ASB fines on your account…Winter formal is on Saturday, December 14.  Please make sure to pay off all fines prior to trying to buy a Winter Formal ticket. Students with fines include Cheer, FFA, Girl’s Golf, Girl’s Volleyball, and Wrestling. Everyone with a fine should have received an email reminder, but it’s your responsibility to come to ASB to pay or pay online.  You can also stop by the ASB office to check if you have a fine.  You may want to check with the library regarding book and Chromebook fines too.

AP exams are available online now! Go to: EHS AP Exams to purchase the exams.  They are $74 each and are only available online.  If you think you may qualify for a reduced rate, please see Karen Nunes in the ASB office.

ASVAB - Career Exploration Program | Tuesday, Nov. 12.  Whether you're considering college, technical school, the military, or still exploring options, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can guide you toward a fulfilling career. Understanding your skills and interests is key to making informed decisions about your future. Only open to 10th-12th Graders.  Test Date: Tuesday, November 12th - Register Here.

Dance Club: The Dance club will be meeting Mondays and Thursdays at lunch in the old gym. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enhance your dance skills, all interested are welcome to join. 

STEM club: Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, or math? Well, come join the STEM club for our first meeting this Thursday at lunch in room 2. 

Attention FFA members: Juniors and seniors wanting to earn their State Degree this year, there will be a lunch meeting in room 25 11/7. The Thanksgiving Meal drive is going on now! For every 3 items donated, you receive 1 FFA point and 1 hour of community service. Max of 2 FFA points, no maximum on community service hours. Bring a variety of meal drive items to any ag classrooms or participating teacher's classroom (Anserlian, Cabello, Harrington, Olsen, Rissetto, or Young). Want to buy a tri-tip dinner to support FFA? EHS Music Boosters will be hosting a Disney Trivia Night on Saturday, Nov. 2nd @ 6:00 Flyer

 

Tailgate: This Friday there will be a tailgate party before the football game. Come out by Fire Science/AG and enjoy some BBQ, games, face painting, and fit checks before we walk over and enter the stadium to support our team. Shoob Photography will be on campus on October 29th to take Senior Portraits for those who have not had theirs done. This portrait will be featured in the yearbook. Students will receive their appointment time on Friday. Please see the flyer for details. Senior Portrait Flyer

Seniors - Scholarships are starting to open!  Please check the scholarship bulletin board next to the ASB office.  

How can you begin preparing for scholarships? Go to Google Classroom for the Class of 2025 to see the current scholarship list and forms 1. Get a transcript from the EHS Counseling Center (signed and stamped, but not sealed), 2. Get 3 current letters of recommendation, 3. Complete an Academic Resume, 4. Complete an EHS General Scholarship form, 5. Write a brief essay about yourself. 6. Come see Karen Nunes in the ASB office to get help with which scholarships to apply for, and get help with any questions you may have.

 

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation Youth Awards Scholarship is closing on November 3.  Please apply before it closes.

 

The Greg Cupit Memorial Scholarship is open for senior boys who play Baseball and/or Football.  Please apply for this very special scholarship. It is due December 14.

Boys’ basketball tryouts will officially begin on Monday, November 4th at 6:00 pm in the new gym. All participants must be cleared on the Home Campus.

 

For any baseball player NOT playing a fall or winter sport, fall training will begin Tuesday, November 5th right after school. Meet by the batting cages.

 

* Mandatory Wrestling conditioning Tuesday October 29th and Thursday October 31st . for anyone not playing a fall sport. Starts in the weight room at 4 pm. You must have physical and online clearance.
