This week is Red Ribbon Week! This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is “Life Is A Movie: Film Drug Free.” The theme is a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping our lives and the communities around us through positivity, creativity, bravery, and strength.

Donations are needed for the EHS Drama Club!...Do you have any artificial plants and flowers, cardboard boxes (prefer large), and partial or full pint or gallon of usable paint (any color) we could have? PSAT is scheduled for Thursday, October 24 at 8:10 am in the EHS library.  Mrs. Strmska will work with each student who purchased the PSAT to ensure their devices are ready and give them all the necessary information.

Spanish Club will be selling Boo Grams During lunch this week in room 22: Please come by and support our fundraiser. The grams will be delivered during  4th period on October 30th. 

 

Student Volunteers Needed: Farmington United Methodist Church is looking for any students who might need community service hours. They are organizing the FARMINGTON FALL FESTIVAL on October 26, 2024, from 1030 am to 530 pm and would really like to support the students. They need help with selling tickets, set up, clean up, running the costume contest, and running kid's games. If you are interested, please see Karen Nunes in the ASB office or Ms. Pimentel in the Ag department.

ASVAB - Career Exploration Program | Tuesday, Nov. 12.  Whether you're considering college, technical school, the military, or still exploring options, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can guide you toward a fulfilling career. Understanding your skills and interests is key to making informed decisions about your future. Only open to 10th-12th Graders.  Test Date: Tuesday, November 12th - Register Here.

Dance Club: The Dance club will be meeting Mondays and Thursdays at lunch in the old gym. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enhance your dance skills, all interested are welcome to join. 

Attention FFA members: If you are a junior or senior and you would like to attend the Ag Careers Summit on November 12 during the school day please see Mrs Stark today for more information! The Thanksgiving Meal drive is going on now! Every 3 items donated, you receive 1 FFA point and 1 hour of community service. Max of 2 FFA points, no maximum on community service hours. Bring a variety of meal drive items to any ag classrooms or participating teacher's classroom (Anserlian, Olsen, Rissetto, or Young). Tickets go on sale today for our FFA Drive-Thru Dinner fundraiser! Tickets will be sold up until November 8th. Dinner includes  Tri-Tip, Pasta Salad, Portuguese Beans, cookie, and a roll. Tri-tip dinners will be picked up on November 14th from 3:30-6:30 pm in the Ag Department.

Shoob Photography will be on campus on October 29th to take Senior Portraits for those who have not had theirs done. This portrait will be featured in the yearbook. More detailed information will be provided as the date approaches.

CSU and UC Application Workshops are scheduled for Oct 22nd. These are available to SENIORS who currently meet the A-G requirements only. Sign up using the Google forms listed in the Senior Google Classroom to register. 

Seniors - Scholarships are starting to open!  Please check the scholarship bulletin board next to the ASB office.  

How can you begin preparing for scholarships? 1. Get a transcript from the EHS Counseling Center (signed and stamped, but not sealed), 2. Get 3 current letters of recommendation, 3. Complete an Academic Resume, 4. Complete an EHS General Scholarship form, 5. Write a brief essay about yourself. 6. Come see Karen Nunes in the ASB office to get help with which scholarships to apply for, and get help with any questions you may have.
