Student Volunteers Needed: Farmington United Methodist Church is looking for any students that might need community service hours. They are organizing the FARMINGTON FALL FESTIVAL October 26, 2024 from 1030 am to 530 pm and would really like to support the students. They need help with selling tickets, set up, clean up, running the costume contest and running kids games. PSAT Exam will take place at EHS on 10/24/24 This preliminary exam is open to Sophomores and Juniors who are interested in preparing for the SAT. Test sales will take place 10/4-10/16, test payments of $18.00 can be made to the ASB Office. Tomorrow is the last day to purchase an exam. Space for the exam is limited to 30. Attention FFA members: If you are interested in attending State Conference there will be a meeting today at lunch in room 37. The Thanksgiving Meal drive is going on now! Every 3 items donated, you receive 1 FFA point and 1 hour of community service. Max of 2 FFA points, no maximum on community service hours. Bring a variety of meal drive items to any ag classrooms or participating teachers classroom (Anserlian, Olsen, Rissetto, or Young). Mandatory large animal parent and exhibitor meeting will be held Wednesday October 16th at 6pm in the theater. Failure to attend will result in not being able to show through Escalon FFA. If you have a conflict with this date and time, prior arrangements must be made ahead of time.

CSU and UC Application Workshops are scheduled for Oct 11th and Oct 22nd. These are available to SENIORS that currently meet the A-G requirements only. Sign up using the google forms listed in the Senior Google Classroom to register.

How can you begin preparing for scholarships? 1. Get a transcript from the EHS Counseling Center (signed and stamped, but not sealed), 2. Get 3 current letters of recommendation, 3. Complete an Academic Resume, 4. Complete an EHS General Scholarship form, 5. Write a brief essay about yourself. 6. Come see Karen Nunes in the ASB office to get help with which scholarships to apply for, and get help with any questions you may have.
