PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Cougar Family,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope everyone had a fantastic summer break. I am honored to serve as Principal to such wonderful students, dedicated staff, and a supportive community. As I enter my third year as Escalon High School’s Principal, I am confident that we are poised and ready to have the best school year yet.

It is the Mission of Escalon High School to ensure all students are college or career ready, and our dedicated staff is committed to fulfilling this goal.  For the past several years we have seen positive significant growth in our students academic performance, while simultaneously seeing significant declines in total student absences, tardies, and assertive discipline.  In nearly every statistical category that we can measure, Escalon High is trending in a positive direction. In 2024, our efforts were recognized by California's visiting WASC Committee (Western Accreditation for Schools and Colleges) for either accomplishing or demonstrating progress on every goal we set to achieve back in 2021.  Such recognition is not easy to achieve, and we should all be proud of our recent accomplishments.

In recent years, we’ve become a data-driven site, using data to guide both our instruction and decision-making practices. However, we haven’t lost sight of what truly matters: the connections we make with our students. Often, it’s the small things we do for our students every day that don’t show up on a graph or chart but are just as important. Not only do we care about who our students are now, but we also care about who they are going to be. With this guiding principle in mind, we prepare our students to enter the real world, whether that be college, the military, a trade school, or the workforce.

We could not be the school we are today without the support of our parents and community, and we are very grateful for the strong relationship we share with you. We look to strengthen our collaboration with the parents and the community by increasing our communication, and soliciting feedback often so that we can work together to improve the success of our students.

Below I have included the dates of several important events. Please visit our website for more information or call the high school at 838-7073 for more information.

Thank you again for your continued support and we are all looking forward to another fantastic year at Escalon High School.
