ASB will be selling Kindness Grams this week: Today-Thursday during lunch for $5 dollars each. Choose a mini stuffed animal to share with a friend, to be delivered next week during Kindness Week! 

Introducing the EHS Staff Kindness King and Queen: new to Kindness week this year, students will vote for a staff King and Queen that they feel displays kindness and positive EHS culture.  The candidates will be honored next week.  Maybe it’s a caring teacher you have had, or a staff member who you believe makes campus a better place.  Voting will open tomorrow for all students.  

Congratulations to the EHS Academic Decathlon team for their 9th place finish in the County Competition. Team members competed in 10 categories with Kenya Sanchez having 3 top-12 scores, and Gisselle Barrera having 2 top-12 scores in their division, Josh Schut having 7 top-10 scores and placing 6th overall while winning a gold medal in science and a bronze medal in economics, Nikolai Loreanzo having 6 top-10 scores while winning gold in economics, silver in music, and bronze in science, and Landon Underwood having 6 top-10 scores and received a bronze medal in science in their division. Collin Haskin had 9 top-10 scores in his division as well as won a gold medal in economics, a silver medal in science, and a bronze medal in speech. Please congratulate them all when you see them.

After School Tutoring & Study Hall is open after school: Mrs. Olsen is available from 3:15-4:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in Rm. 29, and Mr. Louro is available on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30pm. You can email Mrs. Olsen or Mr. Louro with any questions.

First Responder Leadership: Applications for the Mr. Cougar Pageant are due this week, please turn them into Rescue 42 or Station 41. The event will take place on Thursday, March 9th!

Blood Drive- On the fence about donating blood? Those who donate will receive a $10 Amazon gift card and a coupon for a free pizza from Mountain Mike’s. The Spring blood drive is scheduled for Feb 16th. Students, staff and community members  16 years-old  or older can sign up at the following link (blood drive sign ups). Attention FFA Members: The final payment of $61 for the MFE/ALA conference will be due by Friday February 10th.  For the State FFA Conference delegates have a final payment of $135 and all other attendees will pay $300, this is due by March 1st.

Juniors just a friendly reminder from your favorite counselors to turn in your Course Request Ballot today to your US History teacher or the counseling department. 

GSA is meeting this Thursday at lunch in Room 15. We will be making bracelets and going over Color Run details. Be sure to be there!

Come support the EHS Music program. We will be having our annual Coffee House Concert on Tuesday, Feb. 14th at 6:00pm in the EHS Theater. Entree is $5. Enjoy some great music, desserts and coffee. 

Mariachi Club will be meeting on Friday 2/10 at lunch in room 16. 

There are a limited number of 2023 Escalon High yearbooks left to pre-order and will be sold on a first come first served basis. Once sold out, we will not be able to have extras printed. Email Mrs.Fanjul if you’re unsure if you’ve bought one.

Seniors interested in applying to Delta College We will be hosting an application workshop on Friday March 3rd. Please visit the Senior Google Classroom and complete the form to reserve your spot.

Seniors planning to attend MJC--- We will be taking buses to tour both MJC West and East Campus, going over education plans, and getting student ID cards on March 16, 2023.You must have applied to MJC prior to attending this! If you would like to attend, please go to the Senior Google classroom to sign up using the google form. 

Please stop by and talk about scholarships with Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.  There are scholarships for everyone.  Don’t miss out on getting some money for your education.  Scholarships are closing every day.  Let’s talk soon.

Congratulations EHS Wrestlers: For their Dominate TVL performance in Ripon Sat.  JV Champions were- Patton Mello, Jaiden Nguyen, Cruz Snow, Christian Rodriguez.

Varsity Girls TVL Champs - Angeline Mills, Isabella Alcala, Dani Roybal. 

Varsity Boys Champions : Luca Cerasi, JW Mills, Christian T Cruz, Logan Dooley, John Konradi, Anthony Jones, David Ingles. The Cougars beat second place Hughson by 56 points to win TVL and also win outstanding lightweight with T Cruz and Coach of Year honors.
