Attention Students: Are you interested in a part-time job? "Basketball Refs are needed for the City of Escalon's youth basketball program! Games will be on Saturdays in January and February. To apply, or for more information, please call City Hall at (209) 691-7405.

Happy Homecoming week! ‘EHS is going down the rabbit hole’ with an Alice in Wonderland theme. 

HoCo Dress up days are as follows: today is-”Alice under the Tree” Onesie and Stuffed Animal Day, Tomorrow we can all be ”Fit for Wonderland” Crown Day, Wednesday-”Mad like the Mad Hatter” Mismatched Clothes or Hat Day, Thursday-”Alice vs. The Queen” Country vs. Country Club, and Friday-”Follow the White Rabbit” White Out. The Homecoming Rally will be this Thursday followed by the crowning of our Homecoming King at Friday nights Varsity game! 

First Responder Leadership: The First Responder Leadership Team presents the very First Annual “Mr. Cougar Pageant”.  This is a fun and exciting event for both contestants and guests. All proceeds will go towards an educational scholarship opportunity for our students. Are you an absolute competitor? Juniors & Seniors do you have leadership, stage presence and quality character? Do you shine on the field, courts or in the classroom? If this sounds like you, we are looking for the best of the best, a dapper gentleman, creme de la creme, the elite, the biggest, baddest …. The GOAT of Escalon High to be named “MR. Cougar 2023”.  Contestant applications are available in Station 41, and due on Monday Jan 16th. Please see Mr. or Mrs. Davis for details.

ASL Club will meet next week Tuesday, January 10 during lunch in Room 3. If you have ever seen people do Sign Language and thought it was cool, come by and start to learn. All are welcome to come!

Attention FFA Members: Join us for the first FFA meeting of the year on January 11th at 3:30 in the cafeteria. Students interested in joining the Dairy Products CDE team there will be practice today at 6pm in room 37.

 

Senior News

MJC- The MJC Application workshop has now been rescheduled for next Thursday January 12th. If you were already registered you will receive a pass to attend. If you did not register the first time you still have a chance to sign up on the Senior Google classroom by Jan 10th. Talk with your counselor if you have any questions.

Please stop by and talk about scholarships with Mrs. Nunes in the ASB office.  There are scholarships for everyone.  Don’t miss out on getting some money for your education.  Scholarships are closing every day.  Let’s talk soon.

Disney Grad Nite registration is now open!! The total amount for the trip is $460.00, with a deposit of $150.00 due by February 1st in order to reserve a spot. EHS has 100 spots available for the trip. Grad Nite will be Friday, May 19-Saturday, May 20. This is open for EHS Seniors ONLY. Congratulations to the JV boys’ basketball team for winning their 12th game in a row on Friday night at Ripon Christian. They look to continue their impressive winning streak this Wednesday at Ripon, and at this Friday’s homecoming game vs. Livingston.

 

There is a tennis meeting on January 9th at 3:15 pm at the Tennis Courts for all those interested in playing Tennis next year. 

 

There will be a baseball meeting at lunch on January 10th in room 23 with Coach Franceschetti. If you plan on playing baseball this spring, you need to attend this meeting. 

 

Softball- Reminder that mandatory conditioning is Tuesday-Friday from 3:30-4:30. Meet at the girl’s locker room after school.
