Escalon High School Daily Bulletin

Do you want to participate in the Rotary Speech Contest?  The speech contest will be done over Zoom on January 27 at 8 pm.  Prizes are $125 (1st place), $100 (2nd place), and $75 (third place), and the first-place winner will be eligible to compete for more cash prizes!  Last year an Escalon High School student won the district contest and a total of $1300!  Sign up or learn more from Karen in the ASB office.

Sign-ups for No Shave November are still posted outside the ASB Room 7, right across the hallway from the main office.  Fill in your first and last name, grade (or staff, your department), and send a “before” picture to Ms. Steffanic or the ASB Social Media pages.  Our Instagram QR code is posted on the door with the sign-up sheet.

Two Fundraisers are currently available!

  1. Mountain Mike’s Coupon Books are $20 for coupons valued at over $250.  Includes a FREE one-topping medium pizza and 8 BOGO FREE large pizza coupons and lots more! Enjoy these coupons for over one year!  The expiration date is December 31, 2022.   Coupon books are available now.  You get one when you pay for it. Books are available until we leave for winter break (mid-December).
  2. We are also selling delicious pies from the Pie Company for only $20.  Many flavors to choose from; you can order and pay for both at the ASB office or the online store until November 8.   The pies will be here on November 18.  

Attention Students selling pies….The money and orders are due no later than November 8 to the ASB Office.  Please turn the money in on time.  We will not be able to accept late orders. Thank you for working hard on this fundraiser.  We appreciate all that you do!

ATTENTION Students & Staff: Due to issues with CustomInk, Pink Breast Cancer awareness shirts were not able to be ordered. We are sorry for this, and all who paid will be notified when reimbursement checks are ready.  We estimate having the checks distributed by November 19.

Please check out the online store at www.escalonhigh.org, then go to the “Families” heading and “Online Store” (under Families) to register for an account or log in to make purchases, donations, or payments.  

Don’t forget to pick up your Class Shirts.  Many were ordered and not picked up yet.  Visit the ASB office to make your $17 cash payment and pick up your class shirts.  Reminder emails were sent to your school email on October 26 if you ordered a shirt and haven’t picked it up yet.  

Blood Drive- On November 17th, CSF will be hosting a blood drive during the school day in the theater. Anyone 16 or older interested in donating, please see Mr. Bower in RM 34 to pick up a parental consent form and schedule your donation.

Have you purchased your 2021-22 yearbook yet? The current price of $85 will be increased to $90 at 8 am on November 29.  They are available to purchase at the online store.

Students- Just a reminder…. the library opens at 7 am daily and closes at 3:30 pm.  You are welcome to come and study, print assignments, check out a book, or just hang out.

Job Opportunity: The City of Escalon Recreation Department is looking for Flag Football referees. The season is October 16th – December 2nd; games are played on Saturdays. If interested in applying, you may pick up an application at city hall. Questions call Bridget at 691-7372.

If you plan to apply for scholarships, now is the time. Check them out in the Google Classroom for Class of 2022 and see what’s available to you.

Honor your Senior with a Senior Dedication Ad in the yearbook! They are available now and better than ever!  YOU design the entire dedication online.  Go to Yearbook Order Center to purchase and create your custom design.  When prompted, enter 7631 for Escalon High School’s order ID number. To ensure your ad is in the yearbook, purchase and create it no later than December 14.  Space will be limited after that date.  Prices range from $60-$300 for these memorable full-color dedications. 

 

 

 

Sports


Escalon’s volleyball team is playing against Sonora in the Section Final this Saturday at Ripon at 4pm.  Only digital tickets will be allowed for entry and can be purchased through https://gofan.co/app/school/CIFSJS.  

Attention Wrestlers: Mandatory Practice starts today at 3:30. Everyone still playing a fall sport check in with Mr. Scott today in room 19.  Wednesday: all wrestlers 3:15 hydration testing in the locker room. Must be cleared on www.athleticclearance.com to practice. 

Soccer tryouts today at 3:30! Please make sure your athletic clearance is complete before coming out. Cleats and shin guards are recommended. Please reach out to the coaches if you have any questions.
